Who invented the margarita?
As the story goes, Texas socialite Margaret “Margarita” Sames claims to have mixed the first margarita during a house party at her Acapulco vacation spot in 1948. Tommy Hilton was at the party, and he loved the drink so much that he started serving it at the bars in his hotels.
As the drink grew in popularity, a need developed to make a lot of margaritas very quickly for bars and restaurants. That’s when Lasco went to work and created the first dry margarita cocktail mix. Lasco continues to produce that same proprietary dry cocktail mix recipe today!
